THE SON OF SEAHAVEN

2022 GAME DESIGN PROJECT

The Son of Seahaven is a game design pitch I created as a part of my Concept Design degree in 2022. For this project, I created a pitch document and asset design document for a 2D adventure / mystery side-scroller RPG. 

This was an independent project spanning roughly 12 weeks that required story writing, project planning, character design, animation, world design and graphic design skills. 

Game Summary:

In the middle of the ocean, there is a man-made country that floats upon the sea. Here, a young man named Yonder wakes up from a long and deep sleep, lost in a world he can’t seem to remember. He quickly finds that the floating country, Seahaven, is threatened by vicious shapeshifting creatures from the depths below that can supposedly disguise themselves as regular humans. Yonder learns that he is the legendary prince who is destined to save Seahaven from its plague of monsters. However, after forming an unlikely friendship with a fisherman named Los, who turns out to be a shapeshifter in disguise, Yonder begins to question everything he has been told.
